Suzanne N. Cook, 64, who spent 27 years as an administrative assistant with Columbia Gas System Inc., died Dec. 11 in Las Vegas after a heart attack.
In the late 1980s, while working for Columbia Gas System, she began a side business called American Nannies that she owned and operated for about 15 years.
She moved to Las Vegas from Bethesda in 2003 and, at the time of her death, was working for a marketing company in Las Vegas.
Suzanne Naymick was born in Washington and raised in Oxon Hill, where she graduated from Oxon Hill High School.
She was a past member of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA.
Her marriage to Warren Brown ended in divorce. Her second husband, Joseph Cook, predeceased her. Their son, Joseph Cook Jr., died in 1996.
Survivors include a sister.
