Franklin “Bud” Tucker, 87, a National Security Agency personnel officer from 1952 to 1994, died of a heart ailment Jan. 10 at a hospital in Ocala, Fla. He moved to Ocala from Columbia in 1997.

Mr. Tucker was a native of Albany, N.Y., and a 1947 history and journalism graduate of Syracuse University. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Fletcher Tucker of Ocala, whom he married in 1967; and a son, Daniel Tucker of Arlington.
