Francis M. “Buddy” Tederick, 71, who worked in the CIA’s directorate of administration from 1967 to 1993, died Dec. 29 at his home in Falling Waters, W.Va. He had cancer.

A longtime Vienna resident, he had been living in Falling Waters for the past eight years.

Francis Martin Tederick was born in Martinsburg, W.Va., and attended Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va. He served in the Air Force in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Cheryl Turner Tederick of Falling Waters; two children, Kim Nelson of Castle Rock, Colo., and Keith Tederick of Centreville; three sisters; and four grandchildren.
