A lesson from Atlanta’s snow debacle

Regarding the Jan. 30 news article “Deep South storm brings out copters, kindness”:

Just a few days ago, The Post reported that a number of local parents were unhappy with schools closing because of winter weather that never materialized. Those parents might want to read about what happened in and around Atlanta after weather threats were ignored and schools were not closed. A number of children were stranded on school buses because of icy roads.

It’s always better to be safe than sorry, especially when children are involved.
