It would be hard to find a better, more succinct and compelling rationale for the value of a liberal arts education than that of David Epstein’s July 21 Sunday Opinions essay, “We aren’t as open-minded as we think .” Every small and struggling liberal arts college across the country ought to embrace his views and include them in its promotional and recruitment literature.
