Driving to my daughter’s home on Thanksgiving morning, I was stuck in the left lane on Route 295, blocked from moving to the right lane by the traffic. I knew the SUV behind me also wanted me to move over, although the driver wasn’t rude or tailgating .

I finally saw an opening and put on my turn signal. Just then, a car behind the SUV pulled into the open spot to pass us, and I couldn’t get over. That happened several more times. Then the SUV pulled into the right lane and signaled for me to get in ahead of him. That made me so happy, and I waved thank you to everyone in the SUV as they went back into the left lane and passed me. They all waved back.

That was a very courteous, thoughtful driver, and I just wanted to thank him in writing.
