The Oct. 4 front-page story “Romney takes fight to Obama” further promoted our nation’s presidential election as spectacle. Please, focus on the issues. Hold the candidates and their campaigns responsible for their records, statements and ideas. Leave the “fighting” to the Sports pages, and the personality analyses to Style. The front page should be for “debate,” “issues,” “facts” and “substantive analysis.”
Use language that invites respectful citizen thought and dialogue. Your leadership is needed.
