I was absolutely appalled when I saw the winner — “I Have a Dream: Martin Luther King Jr. Addresses the Peeple” — of The Post’s annual Peeps diorama contest [“The Peep-le have spoken,” The Washington Post Magazine, April 20]. To take a sacred and historic event in our nation’s history and depict it using marshmallow candy is highly insulting and offensive to the legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and to all those who worked, and continue to work, for racial justice in this country.
