Bain Capital did worse than the Rev. Jeremiah Wright
While pondering whether the mention of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright during the presidential campaign is racist, Kathleen Parker was in danger of pulling a mental muscle with her strained analogy comparing the clergyman to the employee victims of Bain Capital [“Is mentioning Jeremiah Wright racist?,” op-ed, May 20].
Ms. Parker doesn’t see how a political strategist could fail to tap either of these rich reserves for attacking the opponent. I believe the average voter could easily distinguish the difference. Where Mr. Romney’s actions were the direct cause of factory layoffs, the Rev. Wright’s outrageous views were formed without any assistance from President Obama.
