The Aug. 13 editorial “How to feed the world” asked the question: “How will everyone get fed without frying the planet?”

The way to answer such a loaded question is to examine the assumptions behind it. And, in this case, I believe the evidence implies two conclusions: Not everyone will get fed, and we will fry the planet.
