The Nov. 22 Metro article “Parents, infant found shot to death in Md.,” about the apparent double murder-suicide in Frederick County, included this comment from a neighbor: “That’s the kind of stuff that happens in Baltimore and D.C. . . . When something like this happens here, it’s a total shocker.” This statement is loaded and insulting.

Domestic violence can happen anywhere, among people of all educational, income, racial, religious and cultural backgrounds. It happens in every county in every state. And some acts of domestic violence result in death — even in places such as Frederick County.
