The Feb. 19 front-page obituary for Peggy Cooper Cafritz, “Patron of arts, education tried to heal D.C.’s wounds,” would have been thorough and complete without the salacious details of her personal life and divorce.

Cafritz was an extraordinary and generous- spirited individual, and her contributions to our city were substantial and positive. Therefore, such tabloid tidbits were unnecessary in telling her illustrious story.
