As a senior citizen, a veteran of two wars and a longtime subscriber to The Post, I find it disconcerting and shameful that the paper failed to mention the outpouring of patriotic devotion displayed by more than 15,000 men, women and children at Arlington National Cemetery on Dec. 16, when 110,000 wreaths were laid at the grave sites.

Most of those there, including myself, came not to honor a loved one but to place a Christmas wreath on a white marker of a fallen hero as a sign of gratitude.

Why did a newspaper supposedly dedicated to reporting on worthwhile news and events not deem this worthy of coverage?
