Regarding the Dec. 26 editorial "Twitter's haphazard purge":

Although I am not a Twitter user, I consider it a medium of communication and, therefore, not obligated to edit what people post. If readers are bothered by specific postings, they can refrain from reading (just as they can use the ubiquitous "on-off" switch on the computer, radio or television).

I think most hate speech (who gets to determine what is hateful?) is obviously covered by First Amendment rights. Credit to Twitter is premature and unwarranted.
