The April 7 Metro article “Two Occupy groups plan McPherson Square merger” reported that the National Park Service is “preparing to reseed some $8,000 worth of sod that was ruined during the long protest.”

Why not have the Occupy groups and their backers pay for the sod and provide the labor for the job? It is called taking responsibility for your actions. I’d guess that the Occupiers are Earth-friendly people who could spare some time during their day of protesting to lend a hand and fix up the park that they have damaged.
