I was very disturbed to see the photos from the funeral of Charles Walker Jr. on the front page of the Feb. 28 Metro section [“Mourning the loss of a young life”]. While I commend The Post for its commitment to reporting such tragedies as the death of this young man, it was disrespectful and distasteful to publish an image that clearly showed the body on display in the coffin. As someone who has mourned the death of one who was way too young, I know that this is a very emotional and private time for the family, and images of this kind should not have been published.
