Melinda Henneberger [“Rolling Stone, gathering mess,” She the People, July 19] provided a voice of sanity in a sea of anti-terrorism hysteria. Although I have never read an article in Rolling Stone, I would like to read the article about Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in the magazine’s current issue. However, it is not readily available because of the censorship exercised by stores that have chosen not to carry this issue.
Evidently, the point of the article, as described by Ms. Henneberger, is to understand what turns a beloved young person into someone who does something incomprehensible. Rolling Stone is to be commended for having the courage to print the article. After all, trying to understand each other is the only hope for the world.
