“Hamas reports security personnel killed in Israeli strike” [World digest, Sept. 21] leads us into a three-sentence article. The Hamas and Israeli statements conflict. Hamas: Hamas security unit. Israel: Militants planning an attack and selling weapons. Sentence three states the conflicting accounts could not be immediately reconciled.
Why such a biased headline echoing the Hamas claim, and only the Hamas claim?
“Conflicting stories of action in Gaza” may be less catchy than your biased lead-in, but it’s a heck of a lot more accurate and impartial.
