Regarding the Nov. 28 front-page article “Parking worries loom over Silver Line”:

I am a frequent Metro rider who must choose whether to take a bus or drive to Orange Line stations. Fairfax County is investing millions of dollars to add or modify 43 Fairfax Connector bus routes, but many in the ever-growing western part of the county have no viable alternative to driving during rush hour. Bus timetables need to be adjusted to improve the flow of the system.

Silver Line riders will have to decide whether a three-hour commute on public transportation is worth the cost of not battling the Beltway and parking garages. After all, time is money. The Silver Line appears to lack a silver lining — a convenient and timely way to access it.
