Regarding George F. Will’s April 25 op-ed column, “When fear trampled citizenship”:

My deepest worry about our country is not that we will be attacked from without but that we will destroy ourselves from within. For any member of Congress to proclaim that a U.S. citizen arrested on U.S. soil should be placed in military detention, stripped of all rights and treated as an “enemy combatant” reflects the most frightening legacy of the George W. Bush administration.
