Regarding Lamar Smith’s May 20 op-ed, “Let’s cool our rhetoric on climate change”:
How ironic that The Post would publish a piece of pure, head-in-the-sand propaganda about global warming on the same day as yet another devastating storm smashes a community in the United States [“Huge twister kills dozens in Okla.,” news story, May 21]. No scientist can draw a line between any one storm and the changing climate. But how many storms, how many scientists weighing in, how much new information will it take to — at a minimum — convince the editors that permitting naysayers to have a voice for “balance” is not just factually wrong but also flat-out immoral?
