D.C. Council member Trayon White Sr. (Bonnie Jo Mount/The Washington Post)

Regarding the March 28 Metro article “ Bagels and apologies at breakfast to discuss White’s anti- Semitic comments”:

My heart goes out to D.C. Council member Trayon White Sr. (D-Ward 8). As a 75-year-old Jew affiliated with a D.C. synagogue I helped start and whose daughter attended Jewish day schools and a Jewish camp, I think it is sad that he is getting tsuris (grief) that is not letting up. Unless, of course, you want to acknowledge the anti-Semitic view of Jews being an all-powerful cabal that controls the world.

He made a mistake. He’s acknowledged it. Enough already.
