Coincidence or humorous juxtaposition? As a bird-watcher (and Spanish speaker), I was amused to see a photo in the Sept. 4 Metro section [“Fast-food fly-through”], featuring a great blue heron, positioned directly above the continuation of the article on education in Virginia with the headline “Garza visits classrooms in Fairfax.” “Garza” means “heron” in Spanish, although I’m certain that was not new Fairfax County Schools Superintendent Karen Garza in the photo with the fish in her mouth.
