Regarding “Gray made call to cut gospel singer from show” [Metro, Aug. 13]:

Banning gospel singer Donnie McClurkin from the Aug. 10 concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington is but the latest example of the deeply disturbing phenomenon of political correctness trumping First Amendment rights. Does anyone believe this is something Martin Luther King Jr. would have approved of?
