Americans are divided on whether Congress should pass a law making it easier for the government and private sector to exchange data about security threats in cyberspace, according to a new Washington Post poll.

This Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone May 17-20, 2012, among a random national sample of 1,004 adults, including 740 internet users, landline and cell phone-only respondents. Results for the full sample have a 3.5 point error margin, and four points for results among internet users. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by PSRAI of Princeton, New Jersey.
