Dara Gold is a senior data scientist on the Election Insights team, working on The Washington Post's election night prediction model. Before joining The Post, Gold was a researcher in computational redistricting. She worked for the Metric Geometry and Gerrymandering Group (MGGG) at Tufts University, and served as a legal consulting expert on redistricting after the 2020 Census. She co-authored a paper on how to make computer-generated district plans compliant with the Voting Rights Act, which has been cited in several court opinions and briefs in gerrymandering cases.
