Diana Durán is a news assistant for The Washington Post's Colombia bureau. She is a Colombian journalist with over 14 years of experience, mainly in human rights issues, drug trafficking and justice affairs. Durán has a master’s degree in human rights from the London School of Ecnomics. She has twice been a recipient of Simón Bolívar National Journalism awards, in 2008 and 2013. She also has received an Inter American Press Association Excellence in Journalism Award, in 2010.
