Myers has posted and judged more than 700 contests, from elaborate song parodies to Your Mama jokes, since she began with the page in December 2003. She writes the weekly Style Conversational column and runs the lively Style Invitational Devotees page on Facebook. Myers was a copy editor on the Style desk from 1982 to 2008, serving 12 years as desk chief. Before that, she was a copy editor for Baltimore magazine and a firm that edited government reports. She learned the craft of copy editing at the Diamondback, the daily paper of the University of Maryland.
