Rachel Van Dongen is the editor of PowerPost, a Washington Post vertical on the exercise of power in the nation's capital. She oversees a team of reporters who cover the daily machinations of Congress, the White House, K Street and the executive branch. She also helps James Hohmann put out The Daily 202 newsletter every morning by 7 a.m. She returned to The Post after spending three years at Politico, where she was a deputy managing editor and oversaw that publication's Congress and political teams.
