Education: Rajiv Chandrasekaran is a senior correspondent and associate editor of The Washington Post. He has served as The Post's national editor, an assistant managing editor and as bureau chief in Baghdad, Cairo and Southeast Asia. He is the author of Little America: The War Within the War for Afghanistan and Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq’s Green Zone, a best-selling account of the troubled American effort to reconstruct Iraq. The book won the Overseas Press Club book award, was named one of the 10 Best Books of 2007 by the New York Times and was a finalist for the National Book Award. His reporting for The Post has been recognized with honors from the Overseas Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists. In 2012, he received the Arthur Ross Award for Distinguished Reporting and Analysis of Foreign Affairs from the American Academy of Diplomacy.
