President Obama recorded an election-night video for Buzzfeed News filled with his regular dose of optimism.
In the nearly two-minute message, Obama urges Americans to stay engaged when it’s not a presidential election year and assures them that the divisiveness of this campaign will only make America stronger.
The president also implored voters to be kinder to one another, especially on Twitter, and to be empathetic to everyone regardless of party affiliation.
[What is this election missing? Empathy for Trump voters.]
He concludes that no matter what happens tonight, “the sun will rise in the morning and America will still be the greatest nation on Earth.”
