The Post’s Anne Gearan, who covered Hillary Clinton’s failed bid for the presidency, notes that this Getty photo “reveals what the campaign had planned for her victory speech.”

The overhead camera shot shows campaign chief John Podesta at the end of a gloomy election-night rally in New York.

He is standing at the center of a map showing the United States cast in blue.

“The lighted USA outline was invisible in the room,” Gearan notes.

It was meant to be revealed when Clinton spoke upon being declared president-elect.
