As we’ve written, there are a lot of Republican senators who were in the dark about the details of the health-care bill until this morning. (As of 10:30 a.m., they are still in a meeting off the Senate floor discussing the bill.)
One of these senators was Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), whose decision to support or not support the bill will say a lot about whether it can pass.
A reporter for the Independent Journal Review caught up with her on Wednesday morning, and Murkowski delivered quite a jab at the secrecy of the process:
Murkowski was referring to drafts of the bill circulating among congressional aides and lobbyists. Our colleagues broke news about the details of one of those drafts Wednesday night.
