Comey to Trump: ‘Release all the tapes. I’m good with it.’

Comey said that he hopes Trump recorded their conversations, as the president suggested in a tweet not long after dismissing the FBI director.

“I hope there are,” Comey said, adding that he would consent to the release of any recordings.

Comey said it had not occurred to him before that tweet to think that Trump recorded their discussions, which the ex-FBI director documented in detailed memos after every interactions.

“All I can do is hope,” Comey said. “The president surely knows whether he taped me.”

Comey added that if Trump taped him, “my feelings aren’t hurt.”
