Today, the House passed a stopgap funding bill to keep the government open through mid-December on a 230-201 vote, taking its last major action before lawmakers head home to focus on the November midterm elections. The Senate passed the continuing resolution in a bipartisan 72-25 vote Thursday before leaving town. The margin in the House was tighter because House GOP leaders urged their members to vote against the bill. Biden signed the measure Friday evening.
