Clinton’s star is fading, but Republicans still play catch-up

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s overall popularity fell significantly in the past year, and the poll finds the public divided on whether she is honest and empathetic. Her image still compares favorably with those of several Republicans presidential hopefuls, all of whom receive net negative ratings in the poll. Read related article.


SOURCE: This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone March 26-29, 2015, among a random sample of 1,003 adults. Interviews were conducted in English and Spanish on landlines and cell phones. Overall results have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points; the error margin is 5.5 points among the samples of 444 Republicans and GOP-leaning independents and 446 Democrats and Dem-leaning independents, and five points for half-sampled questiosn.
