Incumbant Senator Jon Tester (D) was declared the winnerof this tight race on Wednesday morning. Tester faced off against Montana’s current representative in the House, Republican Denny Rehberg, for one of the GOP’s key target Senate seats.

As of 9 a.m., Democratic State Attorney General Steve Bullock was leading former GOP Congressman Rick Hill by a little more than 8,000 votes with 83 percent of precincts reporting. The two are vying to replace term-limited Democratic Governor Brian Schweitzer.

Republican Steve Daines defeated Democratic State Senator Kim Gillan for Montana’s sole House seat, according to the Associated Press.
