Twenty-one top White House staffers earn the maximum $172,200 salary, according to an annual report on the income of its employees the White House released on Friday.

That amount is the same as when President Obama entered office and immediately imposed a pay freeze on all White House posts that paid more than $100,000. More than 100 of the 454 staffers listed earn more than $100,000 each year.

The report shows a wide range of salaries, from the $172,200 earned by director of speechwriting Jon Favreau, senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and White House Chief of Staff William Daley to the $41,000 of actor Kalpen S. Modi, known by his stage name Kal Penn. Modi, one of the stars of the 2004 movie “Harold and Kumar,” serves as an associate director in the Office of Public Engagement and helps in the White House’s outreach to Americans under 35.

Obama, whose salary is not listed in the report, earns $400,000, an income designated by federal law.
