Global Agriculture and Food Production Leader at Accenture

Richard Kottmeyer currently leads Accenture’s Agriculture and Food Production practice, which focuses on applying mathematics and strategic change to the agriculture industry. His team seeks to optimize output, enhance efficiency, and develop codependency between producers and downstream customers, all to meet the future challenges of global food demand.

Formerly IBM’s leader in agriculture and food, Mr. Kottmeyer created Smarter Agriculture and worked to close the gap between global food supply and demand. As the Voice of the Consumer leader, Mr. Kottmeyer led the integration of marketing creativity and science to create new customer experiences.

Mr. Kottmeyer brings 20 years of consumer insight and best practices from over a dozen consumer-oriented sectors, nearly two dozen leading multinational brands, and experience in most major agricultural and food subsectors to his role in Accenture’s consulting practice.
