Chiang Says No Budget, No Pay for California Lawmakers

June 24 (Bloomberg) -- California Controller John Chiang discusses the state's decision to withhold legislators' pay for each day they fail to send a balanced budget to Governor Jerry Brown after missing a June 15 deadline. Chiang, speaking on Bloomberg Television's "InBusiness with Margaret Brennan" Thursday said lawmakers forfeited their rights to salary under a penalty set by voters in November through Proposition 25.
