WTO's Lamy Says Working on `Early Harvest' Trade Deal

Jun. 13, 2011
June 13 (Bloomberg) -- World Trade Organization Director-General Pascal Lamy speaks from Jakarta about the outlook for global trade talks. Lamy says it will be clear by the end of June whether there is enough agreement among the group's members to proceed with an "early harvest" of trade liberalization. WTO members are aiming for such a deal as a down-payment on the Doha round of trade talks, which have been stalled for years. Lamy speaks with Rishaad Salamat on Bloomberg Television's "On the Move Asia." (Source: Bloomberg)
