Wu Says HP's Autonomy Purchase Good Move for Long Term

Aug. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Shaw Wu, an analyst with Sterne, Agee & Leach Inc., talks about Hewlett-Packard Co.'s agreement to buy Autonomy Corp. for $10.3 billion in cash, consideration of a spinoff of its personal computer division and third-quarter earnings and forecast.
Hewlett-Packard forecast fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year earnings that missed analysts' estimates.
