Obama applauds first African American woman to enlist in Coast Guard
As part of his commencement address to the Coast Guard Academy class of 2015, President Obama recognized 100-year-old Olivia Hooker, who lived through a racial attack in 1921 and became the first African American woman to enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard.
