Announcement from Sports Editor Matt Vita, Sports Day Editor Matt Rennie and Sports Night Editor Micah Pollack:

We are thrilled to announce that Mark Bradley will be joining The Washington Post as a multiplatform editor on the Sports night desk.

Mark comes to us from the Palm Beach Post, where he has held several senior positions over the past 18 years. Mark has been Sports editor and Sunday Sports editor, and is currently manager of the newsroom’s integrated contest desk. In that role he has overseen the marriage of the newsroom’s print and digital content. While in Sports, he helped lead the department’s transformation into a digital-first operation. He was hired by the newspaper as a copy editor in 2000 and also has served as night sports editor.

Mark grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, and studied journalism at Michigan State University, which means he won’t be too intimidated by a mid-Atlantic winter.

Mark’s first day with us will be Jan. 7. Please join us in welcoming him to The Post.
