Announcement from Design Director Greg Manifold and Deputy Design Director Brian Gross:
The Design Department is excited to announce that Madison Walls will be joining us as a full-time designer.
Madison came to The Post as a summer intern with Design and Graphics before staying on last Fall as a contractor. During that time, she impressed us with her creativity and ability to balance the input of multiple stakeholders while staying focused on our readers. She’s handled multiple projects across platforms — digital, print, social, bespoke for AppleNews — including the Fall Dining Guide, Prime Suspect, Chyrons and Amandla Stenberg.
Madison graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a degree in Media and Journalism. As a senior, she was the Lead UX/UI Designer and Developer for a semester-long project that looked at the lasting impact of Hurricane Maria. The project (“Aftermath”) earned the top large student newsroom award from ONA last year. She also interned with Adobe and at NBC Universal.
In her spare time, Madison enjoys running, film photography, going to local performing art shows, knitting, petting every dog she passes on the sidewalk and DIY decorations.
Please join us in congratulating Madison on the new role.
