Announcement from Editorial Page Editor Fred Hiatt:
I’m delighted to announce that Meghan Kruger will be joining the Opinions section as Associate Opinions Editor. Since coming to The Washington Post, Meghan has been working as a Director, Global Subscriber Engagement. Prior to joining The Post, she worked in business roles at Penguin Random House and other divisions of the German media company Bertelsmann. Before earning an MBA at Stanford University, she had a distinguished career in journalism with the New York Sun, National Review and National Affairs. She also served as Special Assistant to the President for Speechwriting for President George W. Bush and as a speechwriter to Laura Bush.
In her new role, beginning Jan. 22, Meghan will bring her unique mix of skills and experience to help with talent search and recruitment; connecting our content with new and larger audiences; the continuing expansion of Global Opinions; our section’s contributions to subscriber engagement initiatives; and other special projects. We’re excited to welcome her to the 8th floor.
