Henry A. Olsen joins The Washington Post Opinions as a columnist

Olsen’s columns will focus on politics, populism, and conservatism

The Washington Post today announced Henry A. Olsen will be a joining the Opinions section as a columnist. In this role, Olsen will write daily pieces focusing on politics, populism, foreign affairs and American conservative thought.

“Henry is a widely respected thought leader in American politics and conservatism, and we are thrilled to share his valuable insights with our readers,” said Fred Hiatt, Editorial Page editor for The Post. “His work will offer a steady stream of new ideas, informing and challenging readers to explore issues from his unique perspective.”

Olsen is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., studying and providing analysis on American politics. He is also the author of two books, “The Working Class Republican: Ronald Reagan and the Return of Blue-Collar Conservatism” and “The Four Faces of the Republican Party”.

Olsen’s first day with The Post will be February 11.
