On Thursday, May 16, The Washington Post Live will welcome actress and mental health advocate Glenn Close and Sens. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich) and Roy Blunt (R-Mo), sponsors of the Excellence in Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Expansion Act, for an important and timely discussion about mental health and the addiction crisis in America.

The program will also include a panel of Washington Post reporters who have published one of the most in-depth examinations of America’s deadliest drug crisis, the Fentanyl Failure. Speakers will examine the state of addiction in our society and how we treat mental health issues nationwide.

Media who wish to attend must RSVP to nancy.murphy@washpost.com. This event will be live-streamed at wapo.st/mentalhealthsolutions.
