The Washington Post Live today announces The 2020 Candidates, a live interview series that will focus on policy positions, expertise and campaign strategy of 2020 presidential candidates. The series will launch on Thursday, May 23rd with Democratic presidential candidate South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Washington Post National political reporter Robert Costa will moderate this series, conducted in front of an audience at The Washington Post Live Center in Washington, D.C. The series will seek to inform and illuminate how leaders approach public policy and the latest national debates, and about how they plan to govern, if elected.

The Washington Post Live is The Post’s live journalism platform for extended, on-the-record newsmaking conversations live-streamed on Washington Post Live’s web site and available on Facebook and Twitter. Washington Post reporters host these programs covering politics, policy and culture. This special series and other Washington Post Live programs are made available to external media and other sites across the country.
