Announcement from Director of Photography MaryAnne Golon, Director for Emerging News Products Chris Meighan and Editor of The Post’s new travel initiative Amanda Finnegan:
We are excited to announce that Haley Hamblin has joined the photography staff. Haley is embedding with the Emerging News Products team as a photo editor for our new digital travel initiative.
After earning her BFA in photography from the Art Institute of Boston, Haley joined the New York Post. As an associate photo editor, she worked across all sections, falling in love with the fast pace of the newsroom. From there she became a features photo editor at Mashable, where she concentrated on producing long-form projects with photographers. Haley then moved to Blink Media, where as a senior producer she managed relationships with more 200 photographers around the globe.
Haley believes that travel photography can be a bridge to connect worlds. Her love for travel was instilled at a young age during family trips in Europe, Africa, North America and the Caribbean. By her early teens she started exploring the world on her own — traveling on group tours to Paris, London and Edinburgh — and hasn’t stopped since. She’s always on the hunt for beautiful textiles and delicious food — whether she’s an hour from home or halfway around the globe.
Please welcome Haley to the newsroom. Her first day was April 8.
